Fix Backup Error 0X81000033 On Windows 11/10

Have you come across a 0x81000033 error? It occurs when a system image is included in the ongoing backup. The system image backup fails when the recovery petition size is insufficient. It also occurs due to the following conditions:

Installation of too many language packs on the computer.

Outdated device drivers.

System protection turned off.

Too much disk space by USN Journal.

How to fix the 0x81000033 backup error?

Here are a few solutions that will help you fix this error on Windows 11/10.

Using Disk clean-up tool

Removal of unnecessary language packs

Ensure that the system protection is turned on

Update the outdated Device Drivers

Remove USN Journal

Inspect the hardware

Increase System Reserved Partition size

Let us look at these solutions in more detail.

1] Using Disk clean-up tool

One of the reasons for backup error is inadequate storage space. In such a case, you can then go and check the current free space on the root drive. If the display space is filled more than 85% or more, then you can opt for the Disk Cleanup tool to free up unnecessary cache, old Windows installation, temp files, etc. Once the same is complete, you need to restart the PC. After you restart the PC, please try to create a system back up again. If you are still facing the same problem, you can try the next solution.

2] Removal of unnecessary language packs

By default, there is only one language pack installed on Windows 11/10. But, sometimes you may accidentally mark the checkboxes while installing optional updates which will result in the installation of too many language packs. This will result in loss of disk space and prevents the system from creating the restore point. You can do the same with the following steps:

A] Opening Time and Language options:

B] Setting up the language section:

You can then restart the desktop and see if you can create a system backup.

3] Ensure that the system protection is turned on

Please note that this solution is applicable only when the system protection is disabled on your PC. You can turn on the system protection with the following steps:

A] Opening the System Protection:

B] Configuring the system properties:

The system will launch its properties window. Under the System Properties, choose the root drive followed by Configure.

You can then check the radio button, “Turn on the system protection.”

4] Update the outdated Device Drivers

Outdated/obsolete device drivers can also invoke the error code while creating a system image. You can verify the same with the following steps:

A] Checking the updates:

The system will then connect to Microsoft servers and look for optional updates available for your device.

B] Getting the updates:

Once the download is complete, you can install the checked-in drivers.

5] Remove USN Journal

Presently, all disk drives are formatted with NTFS and include a unique feature called the USN Journal. It is an updated sequence number that maintains a record of all recent changes made on the root drive. Every day some data is added to the journal since we make several changes to the devices. Once the USN journal exceeds the permissible limit, you may be affected by the 0x81000033 error. To delete a USN Journal, follow the next steps:

A] Formatting the hard disk partitions:

Once this is opened, you can change the drive letter of the System reserved volume. You can then launch the CMD as administrator and run the following codes:

fsutil usn queryjournal F: fsutil usn deletejournal /N /D F:

B] Changing the Drive path command:

6] Inspect the hardware

If the backup error persists, you can check if the hard disk is functioning properly on your PC. Follow the given below steps.

A] Launching command prompt as an administrator:

Press Win + R. Type “CMD” and then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to launch Command Prompt as an administrator. You can then confirm Yes in the UAC window to confirm access to the console.

On the prompt window, type the following and press Enter:

chkdsk C: /f /r.

The command will not run as the root drive since it is already in use. Type “Y’ and press Enter to confirm the code.

B] Getting a report on the hard disk:

Reboot the PC after leaving the command prompt window.

You can then receive a report mentioning whether you can still use the hard disk or if it requires a replacement.

7] Increase System Reserved Partition size

In case the error occurs because of less disk space in the System Reserved Partition, you should try to increase the disk space. Also, you cannot increase the said size normally. You can create a new system volume and allocate it as the new System Reserved Partition. You can do the same with the following steps:

1] You need to first decide the drive letter for the newly created system volume. Press Win + E to start File Explorer and check all pre-existing letters.

Launch the Command Prompt window as an administrator.

2] On the elevated window, copy the following and hit Enter: chúng tôi /s C:Windows /s G: (In this code, “C” is the root drive, and “G” is the letter for the newly created system volume.

3] You can then execute the following commands.

4] After running the codes, you can restart the PC and see if the error is resolved.

With the several solutions mentioned above, we hope you resolve the Backup 0x81000033 error. You can try again to create a system backup after rebooting your PC. We hope you find this useful. Do let us know in case of any suggestions.

Fix: AVG install error 0xc0070643 1. Use a third-party uninstaller

While installing AVG antivirus you can sometimes install AVG PC Tuneup as well, since two applications are often bundled.

If you have AVG install error 0xc0070643, you need to remove AVG PC Tuneup tools from your PC.

To complete the uninstall process, you need to make sure all software leftovers and stubborn apps are removed from your PC. The easiest way to do this is with the help of uninstaller software.

Here’s what a third-party uninstaller can get you:

2. Repair your registry

Users reported that error 0xc0070643 can appear due to problems with your registry.

It seems that there are certain registry permission problems that prevent you from installing AVG.

To fix this problem, you need to download and install a third-party registry cleaner and DLL fixer on your PC.

After problems with the registry are resolved, restart your PC and try to install AVG again.

⇒ Get Restoro

3. Use the AVG Remover tool

If you get installation error 0xc0070643, one of the ways to fix it is to run AVG Remover tool. During the installation process, some AVG files will be stored on your PC.

Those files can interfere with future attempts to install AVG, therefore it’s crucial to remove those files.

To do that, you need to download AVG Remover. Run the tool and wait until it removes the previous installation of AVG.

After the tool removes AVG installation, restart your PC and check if the problem is resolved.

Some users are also suggesting to shut down your PC after you use this tool and turn it back on again, so you might want to try that as well.

Download AVG Reset Access tool

Simply run the tool and follow the instructions on the screen to remove AVG. After doing that, restart your PC and try to install AVG once again.

4. Download and install the offline version of AVG

If you can’t install AVG antivirus due to error 0xc0070643, you might want to try using the offline installation.

To avoid this problem, it’s recommended that you try using an offline installer.

This installer is significantly larger in size, and it will take you a couple of minutes more to download the setup file, but you should be able to avoid this error completely by using this method.

You can download the offline installation from AVG’s website or from a reliable third-party source.

Keep in mind that offline installation might be hidden in AVG’s download section, so you’ll need to look carefully for it.

5. Remove AVG entries from the registry

According to users, they were unable to install AVG due to problems in their registry.

Apparently, there are some AVG instances in their registry that can prevent AVG from installing, and in order to fix that, you need to remove those instances manually.

To fix AVG install error 0xc0070643, do the following:

2. Registry Editor will now start. In the left pane, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREAVG

4. Close Registry Editor.

After closing Registry Editor, try to install AVG again and check if the problem is resolved.

6. Check your permissions

In order to install AVG, SYSTEM needs to have certain privileges. To do that, follow these steps:

Expert tip:

Antivirus tools are necessary if you want to keep your PC protected from malicious users, but it’s usually a bad practice to have multiple antivirus tools or firewalls installed.

Different security tools can sometimes interfere with each other, and in some cases, security tools can even prevent you from installing AVG antivirus.

According to users, AVG install error 0xc0070643 is caused by other antivirus tools, so before you try to install AVG, be sure to disable or uninstall other third-party antivirus or firewall tools.

Users reported that the Comodo firewall was interfering with AVG installation, but keep in mind that almost any third-party tool can cause this problem to appear.

8. Make sure that you have the necessary files

According to users, they were unable to install AVG due to 0xc0070643 description: event exec_finished error message.

This error is caused by missing files related to Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4.

To fix the problem, make sure that you download the necessary files and install them.

Users reported that Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 was causing the problem on their system, but you might have to download a different version for your PC.

All the necessary files are available for download from Microsoft’s website.

9. Make sure that you have enough space on your C drive

Few users reported 0xc0070643 description: event exec_finished error message while installing AVG antivirus, and according to them, this message was caused by the lack of hard drive space.

Users reported that the installation error was resolved after freeing some space on their C drive.

Apparently, you need to have more than 4GB of free storage space on your C drive before you can install AVG on your PC.

We have to mention that AVG doesn’t take 4GB of storage space, but it requires this space to be available on your C drive in order to work properly.

10. Change Antivirus

In case you’ve tried out all of the solutions, yet nothing seemed to help, there’s always the option of changing AVG Antivirus with an entirely new antivirus tool.

That being said, know that the market is full of such tools, some of which offer a free version, or even a free trial with full capabilities for you to test out.

Fix Wfp_Invalid_Operation Blue Screen Error On Windows 11/10

Some Windows 11 or Windows 10 PC users have reported that on occasion, they do get the WFP_INVALID_OPERATION Blue Screen error at random but especially when playing certain games on their computer. In this post, we provide the most suitable solutions affected PC users can apply to easily resolve the issue.

This bug check has a value of 0x000001D3. When this Blue Screen of Death error is triggered on your device, it simply indicates that a Windows Filtering Platform callout performed an invalid operation.

What is Windows Filtering Platform?

Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) is a set of API and system services that provide a platform for creating network filtering applications. WFP consists of a set of hooks into the network stack and a filtering engine that coordinates network stack interactions with the packet processing that takes place at several layers in the networking stack of the operating system. Network data can be filtered and also modified before it reaches its destination.

If you have encountered the WFP_INVALID_OPERATION Blue Screen error while normally using your device for basic regular tasks or while playing your favorite games on your Windows 11/10 gaming rig, then our recommended fixes presented below in no particular order should easily and quickly help you resolve the issue and get your system back to a normal working state.

Initial checklist

Run the Blue Screen Online Troubleshooter

Run Driver Verifier

Update drivers

Uninstall third-party software

Reinstall the game

Reset Windows 11/10.

Let’s take a look at the process described as it relates to each of the listed solutions. If you can log in normally, that’s great; otherwise, you’ll need to boot into Safe Mode, access the Advanced Startup options screen, or use the Installation Media to carry out these instructions.

1] Initial checklist

Before proceeding with the solutions listed below, check for updates and install any available bits on your Windows 11/10 device to see if the BSOD error occurs again. If the error occurred as a result of a recent Windows update, you can either use System Restore to revert your system to an earlier point before the update installation or uninstall the update altogether. If you’re unable to boot the computer to the desktop to carry out either of the mentioned tasks, you can follow the instructions in the guide on how to uninstall Quality or Feature Update when Windows 11/10 won’t boot or the guide on how to perform System Restore when Windows won’t boot to desktop.

2] Run the Blue Screen Online Troubleshooter

The Blue Screen Online Troubleshooter from Microsoft is an indispensable automated wizard that is pretty handy, especially for novice or non-technical PC users in resolving BSOD errors like the WFP_INVALID_OPERATION that has occurred on your Windows 11/10 computer. The automated wizard works by presenting you with questions as to when you encountered the error, which depending on your responses will then make recommendations on possible solutions you can apply to resolve the issue.

3] Run Driver Verifier

In most cases, it’s usually a driver that’s triggering a BSOD error on your Windows 11/10 device. Since the error page, unlike some, there’s no driver identified as the driver that failed and is responsible for the issue at hand, you can run Driver Verifier to see if it can indicate the cause by checking all drivers and see if any faulty drivers are present.

4] Update drivers

From indications of the BSOD error in focus, it should be noted that WFP is designed to replace previous packet filtering technologies such as Transport Driver Interface (TDI) filters, Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) filters, and Winsock Layered Service Providers (LSP). In Windows 11/10, the firewall hook and the filter hook drivers are no longer available; applications that were using these drivers should use WFP instead.

So, similar to Driver Verifier mentioned above, the DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description, version, product name, company that created the driver, and more. So, you can run DriverView – set VIEW to Hide Microsoft drivers, and then make sure to update all drivers listed without Dump in their names by visiting the device manufacturer’s website or via the Optional Updates page in Windows Update. You can also update BIOS and update chipset drivers on your computer.

5] Uninstall third-party software

As we have already mentioned, the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) is a subsystem for firewalls (including the Windows Firewall), and related networking software like QoS tools, anti-malware software, etc. So, isupposeyou have any third-party security software, networking, or QoS software installed on your Windows 11/10 computer,. In that case, you can uninstall the software via the Windows Settings app or use Uninstaller Software and see if the error you have encountered is fixed.

6] Reinstall the game

Some affected users that encountered this error while playing a certain game, reported they were able to resolve the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the game on their gaming rig. If this applies to you, you can give it a try and see if that works for you too. If not, you can proceed with the next solution.

7] Reset Windows 11/10

Reset PC and see if that helps. If you’re unable to reset the PC because the computer won’t boot to the desktop, you can follow the instructions in the guide on how to reset Windows via Advanced Startup Options when the PC won’t boot.

I hope you find this post helpful!

Most reported cases of this error on Windows 11/10 PC are usually driver related. This can range from your Wi-Fi drivers as well given that WFP is network-related. So, as a general troubleshooting step, make sure to have your network drivers updated. You can also uninstall your graphics driver using DDU while in Safe Mode. And if applicable, uninstall the games that you are playing when the error is triggered and reinstall them.

What is the most common cause of Blue Screen errors?

BSODs are typically caused by driver software or hardware issues. When apps crash, they can cause blue screens of death if they are broken or flawed. When a BSOD occurs, Windows creates a file known as a minidump which experts can analyze to troubleshoot the problem.

Fix: Skype Audio Won’t Work On Windows 10/11

FIX: Skype audio won’t work on Windows 10/11

Skype is a go-to instant messaging app for many, but Skype has its fair share of issues.

Many users reported that audio won’t work at all on Skype.

Fixing this issue is simple, and you just need to update your audio driver and check Skype audio settings.

Skype is the most popular messaging application in the world, but besides instant messaging support, this application also supports video and audio calls.

Users reported that Skype audio isn’t working on Windows 10, so let’s see how to fix this problem.

Frequent Skype audio issues

Skype is a great application, but many users reported audio issues while using Skype. Speaking of issues, these are some of the common problems that users reported:

How can I fix audio issues on Skype? 1. Make sure that your speakers and microphone are properly configured

According to users, sometimes an update can change your default speakers or microphone, so be sure to check if your audio device is properly configured in Skype.

2. Use Microsoft’s default audio driver

When your PC restarts, the default driver will be installed and problems with Skype audio should be fixed.

Users reported that you can fix Skype audio issues simply by downloading and installing the latest drivers for your audio device.

You can download the latest drivers from your motherboard or sound card manufacturer’s website.

Users reported issues with Realtek drivers, but even if you don’t use a Realtek sound card you might want to try updating your audio drivers.

There are many types of drivers for audio cards, so select the exact version for your hardware and then download and install it. There are several alternative ways to update drivers for your Windows 10 system.

When you are sure your drivers are all up-to-date, you can check again and see if the problem persists.

4. Change your microphone settings 5. Restart Windows Audio service

If you already have the latest version installed, you might want to switch back to the older version of Skype and check if that fixes the issue for you.

In addition to updating, users also suggest that you reinstall Skype and delete all Skype-related registry entries.

To do that, you can uninstall Skype and manually remove all Skype entries from your registry.

Manually deleting entries from the registry isn’t the best or the most practical solution, so you might want to use a tool to completely remove Skype from your PC.

After you remove Skype, try reinstalling it and check if that fixes the problem. If Skype won’t reinstall, we got your back with a guide to fix the issue.

7. Select the proper audio device

Once you change your default audio device, check if the problem is resolved.

Expert tip:

8. Check if your speakers and microphone are properly connected

If you’re having any audio issues during Skype calls, that might be due to your microphone or speakers.

Several users reported that the other side can’t hear them during the Skype call, and that is most likely caused by your microphone.

Just like your headphones speakers, your microphone uses a 3.5mm jack, so it’s possible that you connected your microphone to the wrong port by accident.

This is just a minor problem, and to fix it, simply disconnect it from the wrong port and connect it to the right one.

As you can see, this is a quick and easy solution, so be sure to try it out.

9. Try changing your DNS server

Preferred DNS server:

In addition to Google’s DNS, you can also try using OpenDNS. After you change your DNS, check if the problem with Skype is resolved.

10. Check your network connection

If you’re having Skype audio problems, the issue might be your network connection.

If you have any problems with your Internet connection, Skype will automatically change the quality of your audio in order to keep your call active.

However, you might get better results simply by using a wired connection. Wi-Fi connection can suffer from interference, therefore it’s always better to use a wired connection.

If you can, switch to a wired connection and check if that solves your problem.

11. Close other applications

After doing that, Skype will be able to use your bandwidth without any issues or interference from other applications.

Speaking of bandwidth, here are the best monitor tools that you can choose to keep track of your internet activity.

If Skype audio isn’t working that can be a big problem because you won’t be able to perform Skype calls with your friends, but we hope that one of our solutions helped you fix this issue.

This isn’t the only issue that can occur on Skype, and if you have any other problems, be sure to visit our Skype hub for more in-depth fixes.
