Why Is My Meeting Timing Out In Zoom?

What does timing out mean?
Any meeting hosted on the Zoom platform is called a Zoom Meeting. Depending on the type of your account, a Zoom Meeting can last anywhere between 40 minutes and 24 hours. When a Zoom Meeting is reaching the duration threshold, users will see the dreaded “meeting timing out” prompt. After the timer runs out, all users will be escorted out of the said meeting.

Zoom’s meeting timeout guidelines
As mentioned in the previous section, the length of your meeting is dependent on the type of license you have — free or paid.
Free — Basic users
If you have a free license, you can host an unlimited number of Zoom Meetings, but the length of the said meetings cannot exceed 40 minutes — when three or more participants are involved. One-on-one meetings, meetings with no hosts and only two attendees, and host-only meetings can last as long as 24 hours.

Paid users
Paid users, on the other hand, do not experience any such constraints. Meetings with three or more participants — between 100 and 10000, depending on the type of paid license — can last up to 24 hours. The same 24-hour rule applies to meetings with no host and any number of participants and meetings with only the host and no attendees.
However, if a meeting starts with one host and n number of participants, but only one participant remains, the meeting would end after 40 minutes.

Why is your meeting timing out?
Having gone through the section above, it becomes pretty evident that you need a paid license to push your meetings past the 40-minute constraint. So, if you’re trying to host a meeting for your organization, make sure you’re logged in with the credentials associated with your paid Zoom account. Additionally, you could also ask your administrator to grant you the required permissions.
If you are a paid user but have joined a meeting hosted by a basic user, the meeting would timeout after 40 minutes, as usual. The basic user could bypass the 40-minute timeout if he joins from a paid Zoom Room.
Finally, if you are a basic user and are on a paid account, you’d still have to adhere to the 40-minute cutoff.

Begin the Recording
Open the Voice Memos app on your recorder phone.
Start or receive a call on your other iOS device. Put the phone on “speaker.”
Once the other person starts speaking about the subject you’re interested in, make sure you press the red “Record” button in the Voice Memos app to start your recording – but not before informing the other person that you’re going to be recording them.
Make sure the phone that acts as the recorder is placed in the near vicinity of the phone involved in the call. Also, the phone you’re using for the call should have the volume turned up to the maximum (if that’s possible). This will ensure you get a better quality recording.
Once you’re done recording, press the red button once again. The file will be saved to your iPhone, and you can access it from the app. Tap on it to have it start the playback. You can also share it from there or edit it.
2. Use Google VoiceGoogle Voice is another alternative when it comes to recording phone calls from your iPhone. Unfortunately, the service is only officially available in the United States and Canada or for people who already have a U.S. phone number. If you meet the requirements, download the iOS app and sign up for an account.
Open the Google Voice app on your iOS device.
At the top, tap the hamburger menu and select “Settings.”
Under Calls, you will see “Incoming calls options.” Make sure the toggle next to it is on.
If it is, you’ll notice some information underneath. You’ll be instructed to press “4” to start recording calls.
Wait for the call to come in and answer it.

3. Try a Third-Party iOS AppApple is quite restrictive when it comes to call recording apps, not allowing many in the App Store. Even so, you can still find quite a few of them. The trouble is, most of them are paid apps. Fortunately, Rev Call Recorder is an app that works for free and is fully functional.
Download the app on your phone.
Open it and verify your current phone number.
Once you’re all set, press the “Call” button at the bottom of the display.
Enter the number of the person you wish to call.
Press the “Call [number]” button, and the recording should start automatically.
Both parties involved in the call will hear an announcement saying the call is being recorded.

Now that Command Prompt is pointing to the correct location, you can enter or copy and paste one of the following commands into the command window and press Enter.
To record in MP4 Format: scrcpy –record=file.mp4
To record in MKV Format: scrcpy -r file.mkv
Once you start the command SCRCPY will open on your device and function normally, however, it will also record everything in the background and save the file in the same folder that you are running SCRCPY from.

You sure can, if you have more than one command option that you would like to enter you can run multiple commands using the same process. However, it’s best to do this using a batch file. This will allow you to create a custom shortcut you can use each and every time you open SCRCPY.

Whether you want to create a tutorial or save screen activity for later reference, screen recording makes it easy to do so. It is one of the most convenient tool for recording content.
There are several ways to record your mobile screen, but it depends on your Android phone model. If your device runs on Android 10 or higher versions, you have an in-built screen recording feature. Else, you need to rely on third-party apps.
Note: There are a few limitations to screen recording apps. For instance, you can’t record the screen on all apps and settings because of copyright issues. In some parts of the U.S., it’s actually illegal to record a personal conversation unless the other parties agree on it.
Samsung users using Android 10 or newer versions can easily record the screen. But, according to Samsung, they have only made this feature available to selected models. So, you need to check their supported devices list and find out if your device supports a screen recording feature.

Before you start recording, you will see the options related to sound settings.
None: Select None if you don’t want any sounds.
Media: Select Media if you just want to record in-built sound.
Media and Mic: Select these options if you want to record your voice and in-built media sounds.
Show taps and touches: Toggle it on if you want to display what you have tapped and touched on the screen.
If you are using a Google Pixel or other stock android devices like Asus, Motorola, Nokia, etc. the steps to screen record are almost similar due to similar custom UI.

Before you start recording, you will see two options.
Record audio: Tap on the recorded audio and it has the option to record the audio from only your device, microphone, or both.
Show touches on screen: It will display the circle area that you touched.
To stop the recording, swipe down from the Top and tap Stop.
OnePlus added a screen recording feature back in 2023 with OxygenOS 9.5 (Android 10). As a reference, we have shown the steps using the OnePlus 8 with the Android 12 version.
Open the Control panel by swiping Down.
Once you tap on it, it will immediately start recording the screen.
If your phone doesn’t have an in-built screen recording feature, you can use third-party apps to record the screen. There are tons of apps you can install for free from the play store.
Some popular apps are AZ Screen recorder, ADV screen recorder, Mobizen screen recorder, etc. But, before you can start using the apps you are required to agree to the terms and conditions.
