Saving in ARK isn’t just about protecting your progress in the world. There are many different things that players might want to keep, including characters and server backups.
In addition, there are multiple ways to save you might want to consider, especially if you’ve reached a point in ARK where losing your progress would be an inconvenience.
About Saving in ARKThere isn’t a traditional save button in ARK. You have to use admin commands to save the game in most cases, including on the console. This won’t be available to all players – only those who have admin access to use console commands.
You can save your character or move it to another server. You can change how often a server you admin saves the world. You can save single-player worlds very easily. However, if you’re playing on multiplayer and aren’t the admin, you don’t have many options.
How to Save in ARKARK saves the game as you go, and you don’t generally need to save. However, knowing how to back up the world can give you peace of mind once you’ve built a new structure or tamed a problematic creature.
How Do I Manually Save in ARK?Saving manually in ARK means using console commands to save the world. As soon as you enter the command, the save file will be updated regardless of whether or not it was time to save again according to the server configuration.
How to Save ARK on PCNow your save file on the computer or server will be updated. Remember that unless you back up the actual file on your computer, it will be overwritten the next time the server saves automatically.
How to Save ARK on MobileSaving ARK on mobile is a little different than saving on other devices. You have multiple save files, including your current save, a cloud data save, and backups.
You can see each of the available slots in this menu. To save in a space that is already taken will overwrite the file you have there. That means that you won’t be able to re-access it unless that data is backed up elsewhere.
How to Save ARK on Xbox
Log into ARK on your Xbox.
Press the right bumper, left bumper, X and Y together to open the console.
Type “admincheat saveworld” without quotes.
Choose Finish.
Your Xbox game file will be updated. As you continue to play on Xbox, that save will be overwritten depending on how often your server saves the file.
How to Save ARK on PlaystationThe ARK console on PlayStation can be accessed through the main menu.
Log onto ARK on the PlayStation.
Switch to the main menu.
Type “admincheat saveworld” without quotes.
Press Finish.
Your PlayStation game file will be updated. If you don’t have admin permissions on your PlayStation server, you won’t be able to save manually.
How to Save Your World in ARKSaving your world in ARK Survival is what you’re doing when you use the admincheat saveworld command. However, if you want to save the world file, you have to do a little more work.
You should save the world in-game and close the game before beginning.
You should be able to use these files to restore the world when you last saved. Remember to update your save when needed. Every time you want to create a new backup, you’d have to repeat these steps.
Don’t move the files without copying them first unless you want to remove ARK’s ability to access your game.
How to Save Settings in ARKAfter you’ve updated your settings in ARK, the best way to save them is to change them, exit the game, go back into the game, and check to see whether the settings have been saved. There isn’t a manual save option, and many players – especially on console – have faced difficulties changing their settings.
Some users say that opening and then exiting the world after changing the settings helped fix it. You might have to fiddle with it a little to find a method that works for you until the issue is addressed.
Can You Save Your Character in ARK?Saving your character in ARK is a process called Character Data Transmission. You do this at an Obelisk or Beacon where supply crates drop.
Once you’ve completed this process, your character data will be backed up.
Remember, you can only have one character on each server. If you try to load into a map with another character, the first one will be deleted.
Also, you can’t transfer your PVE character to a PVP server and vice versa.
How to Save Your Password in ARKUnfortunately, there isn’t a way yet to save a server connect password on an ARK account. You still have to type in your password each time you access a server.
How to Quicksave ARKYou can’t quicksave ARK. You can only save with the saveworld command.
How to Revert a Save in ARKTo revert a save in ARK, move the files you saved to back up your ARK world back into the active game folder. Then just log into the game like normal.
How to Force Save in ARKYou use the save command for an ARK server to force save. There isn’t another way to do it.
The ARK server you play on will back up according to the server settings.
If you’re the admin on the server, open your configuration files and change the AutoSavePeriodMinutes option.
Open the Configuration.ini file on your server.
Search for AutoSavePeriodMinutes= in the file.
Type a number after the equals sign. That number is how often in minutes the server will save the world.
Save the file and then open the game, and it should update at the interval you set.
What Is the Save Command for an ARK ServerThe save command for an ARK server is simply admincheat saveworld. You have to type it into the console menu. Make sure you have cheats enabled if you’re playing on a server.
If you don’t have access to cheat commands, you can’t save the server. Ask an admin to back it up as needed.
How to Load a Save in ARKSince the game backs up your map automatically as you play, loading a save is as simple as logging into the game – as long as you have the correct files in your ShooterGame and Saved folders.
If you don’t have those files in the folders and want to load a different save, remove the current save, replace the files with the ones you backed up, and follow the steps below to load it.
It should launch the game and put you back where you were last.
What Is Tidy Save in ARK Mobile?Tidy save is a way for mobile players to save a little storage space when they back up ARK. It essentially wipes all the dinosaurs that aren’t in render distance or tamed. Some spawns are also removed. It shouldn’t affect anything owned by your or your tribe, and it will make your save file smaller and easier to store.
You can also use it to force the game to spawn new dinosaurs on your map.

How To Solve Save Formats Missing In Photoshop.
If you have just updated Adobe Photoshop to a newer version you’ve probably been enjoying some of the new features and the design layout. However, you’re probably also noticed a major change to the way you save images. Save as no longer has any of the formats you primarily use. Thankfully there is a solution for this.

Adobe Photoshop is the best image editing and digital art creation tool on the market, it’s got more features than the average person will ever use, allows you to work in a ton of different formats and styles and has hundreds of thousands of hours worth of guides and tutorials dedicated to learning on YouTube. All that said, it isn’t the cheapest piece of software to use.
The good news, depending on how you see it, is that this isn’t a bug or error with Photoshop. All the usual formats are missing by design. I personally hate the change but it does make sense. The change is designed to prevent users from accidentally overwriting their original file with a flat format like jpg or png which doesn’t contain any editing history, layering, etc.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to change back to the old method unless you go back to a Photoshop version prior to this change being added. While I do dislike the change, I see the reasoning behind it and I know I will eventually get used to it sooner or later. With an emphasis on later at the rate things are going. Anyway, that wraps up our guide on Photoshop not showing all save formats, hopefully, this has helped you out of a spot of trouble! How To Not Get Scared While Playing Survival Horror Games
Pick your game! There are many “survival horror” games. Some of the more recognizable ones are the “Silent Hill”, “Resident Evil”, “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, and “Left 4 Dead” series. Some other smaller titles include the well known “SCP: Containment Breach” or “Penumbra”, the spiritual predecessor to “Amnesia”, another survival horror game.

Be prepared to be scared. Survival horror games are meant to scare you! If you jump out of your skin a couple of times, that means that the creators have done their job. If games or movies scare you to the point that you lose sleep for extended periods of time or provoke paranoia, you should stop playing/watching them all together. It’s not worth making yourself feel uncomfortable and causing inconvenience for the sake of a cheap thrill.
Never play late at night or in the dark. While this may seem obvious, a lot of these types of games are in an extremely dark environment, so as to add the level of fear and excitement the player experiences while playing. You should move on to playing a Horror Game in the dark after you have gotten over your fear, till then play with the lights on.
Be aware of game cliches. This can be anything from a jumpscare to rising tension. Being able to detect when a typical type of scene might play out, especially when it involves jumpscares as these are often the selling points of many “horror” games, notably, “Slender”. You can get good at avoiding jumpscares and having a response to them by experiencing them a few times in different forms.
Make fun of the monsters and force yourself to laugh at the characters. Attempting your hand at humor, even if false, can lessen the mood of the game and make it less scary. You can also watch spoofs of some video game monsters, such as Pyramid Head, on the internet which may make the characters less scary. Sometimes it can even help to picture yourself as a stronger entity compared to the monster or object that scares you. Other ideas include imagining the protagonist using bright colorful weapons to fight the monsters, which bleed rainbows. It may be a bit ridiculous, but it will lessen the paranoia you may experience.
Reduce the game audio. This is extremely effective, you will notice how a horror game or movie becomes soft and easy after the sound is taken away. It’s all in the sound, While this doesn’t work for everybody, not having screams or high-pitched noises when you least expect them should do a decent job of making the game slightly more tolerable, especially in the Silent Hill series since usually the music adds to the terrifying mood. Don’t forget about those jumpscares!
Listen to music that makes you relax once you turn off the game audio. Listen to music on either your computer, radio, or iPod. The music should make it less scary. After all, imagine listening to a happy, bubbly pop song whilst slaying hordes of undead. It’s almost comical, and you’ll find yourself far more relaxed than you would with the original game soundtrack. Try something from Tiny Tim or Starset.
Play when someone else is in the room. Having company beside you could help you relax, especially if you trust this person. They could also help for making small chat in between action-intense parts of the game. Even if it’s your pets!

Make fun of what scares you. Turn it into a joke, or think of all the ridiculous things that had to happen for that sequence to occur.

How To Save Your Edits In Lightroom (Classic & Cc)
We’ve probably all accidentally closed a program without saving what we were working on at some point. It’s a scary feeling, wondering if you’ve just lost the progress you made. This is why knowing how to save your edits in Lightroom is important since you don’t want to lose any changes you’ve made to your images.
But won’t Lightroom save automatically? And what are the different options for saving images? Let’s go over everything you’ll need to know about saving edits in Lightroom.
Does Lightroom Automatically Save? When editing photos in Lightroom, you’ll want to know if Lightroom will save your edits if the program closes before you manually save the image.
The simple answer is yes – Lightroom will automatically save your edits once you exit the program.
However, the way that images are saved differs depending on whether you’re working in Lightroom Classic or Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (also known as Lightroom CC).
The two programs have similarities and differences in how they save images, so it is important to understand how each one saves your edits so that you don’t lose your work.
How Lightroom Classic Saves Your EditsWhen Lightroom Classic saves your images automatically, it will save them to the Lightroom Catalog. However, you can also set Lightroom to save changes as a separate file next to the image file.
Saving To The Lightroom CatalogThe Lightroom Catalog is Lightroom’s way of storing your images, separate from the files on your computer. Therefore, if you save an image to the Lightroom Catalog, the edit data stays there. You’ll only be able to access the edited image from within the catalog. You won’t see the edits if you open the same original image file in a separate catalog.
This also means that if you delete the catalog, the edit data for the images in that catalog will be deleted along with it (though the original photos themselves will remain in your files). So it’s important to save images as separate files once you’ve finished editing them.
Saving Changes As XMP filesAt the top of the Catalog Settings window, you’ll see different tabs where you can adjust settings. Head to the Metadata tab.
Check the box next to Automatically write changes into XMP (if it is already checked, you’re already saving your edits as XMP files, so leave it checked).
Now, if you access the root folder, you’ll notice separate XMP files next to the image files. When you edit an image, an XMP file is created containing those edits, which is useful if you want to access those specific edits from other catalogs.
Understanding How Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Saves ImagesAdobe Photoshop Lightroom, the newer version of Lightroom, is cloud-integrated, so there is no need for catalogs. Instead, any changes you make are automatically synced to the Adobe cloud. You’ll be able to see your editing data whenever you’re logged into your account and have a stable internet connection.
How To Save Photos You Have Edited In LightroomWhile Lightroom will save the edit data automatically to the catalog, if you’d like to save the image as a new file on your computer with the edited changes, you’ll want to use one of the two best file formats: TIFF or JPEG. The file type you should use to save the image depends on several factors.
Saving As TIFFThe Export Window will appear. Here, you can name your file and set an export location.
Exporting your images as a TIFF file keeps the raw file data and the adjustments you’ve made. This means you can re-open a TIFF file in Lightroom another time, and all the adjustments will be available for you to see and edit.
This is useful for any files you may come back to, though it isn’t the best if you plan to store or share lots of TIFF files because of the large size. You’ll need lots of space if you’re working with TIFF files often.
Saving As JPEGThe other option is to save your image as a JPEG. This will preserve the size while compressing the raw data and baking the edit data into the picture. You won’t be able to access the edit data to change it again, but the file will be considerably smaller and better for sharing.
Give your image a name and save location.
Then, scroll down to the File Settings section. From the menu next to Image Format, find and select the JPEG format (it may already be selected).
How To Use Twitter Bookmarks To Save Your Favorite Tweets
Twitter has introduced a new feature that allows you to easily save tweets. With the new featur people don’t have to be forced to like a tweet just to keep it for later. That feature is called Bookmarks.
What is Twitter’s New Bookmarks FeatureBefore the Bookmarks feature was released, if you came across a tweet you liked, you would have to either like it or send it to yourself to read it later. If you left it in your feed thinking you could find it later, you probably didn’t have much luck with that.
How Twitter’s New Bookmarks Feature WorksDon’t worry if you don’t see the option just yet since Twitter is rolling out the option as fast as it can. It’s only a matter of time before you get it. Twitter has been working on this feature since October of last month.

How To Save Mobile Data With Google’s Datally App
If you’re not careful and don’t monitor your data usage, you could end up with one expensive phone bill at the end of the month. Various apps allow you to control your data usage, but Google has a new one for you to try: Datally.
Google claims that this app will help you monitor your data in real time and stop apps from using data in the background as well. You won’t have a hard time using the app since it has a very user-friendly interface.
Keep Your Mobile Data Under Control with DatallyDatally (formally known as Triangle) is not the kind of app where you have to spend a lot of time adjusting the app’s settings. After you install it, the app will automatically start using a VPN to monitor how much data each app uses. It will also ask you to grant it a series of permissions such as phone, location, SMS, and VPN.
In the “Manage Data” option, you can see how much data you’ve been using today, this week, or this month. To view this information, tap on the calendar icon at the bottom and choose how much of your data-using history you want to see.
Scroll down to see a list of the apps you have installed on your phone. The apps that use the most data will be on top of the list with the ones that use the least on the bottom. Datally will show how many apps can’t use your data at the bottom of your display.
See How Much Data Each App UsesIf you want to see how much data you’re saving with Datally, just toggle the “Data Saving” toggle to the right. The green line that indicates how much data the app is using will decrease or increase, and you can toggle the button on or off.
After Datally has been monitoring your data usage for a while, it will offer suggestions that will help you save as much data as possible.
On the app’s main page, you’ll also see the “Find WiFi” option where it will tell you the nearest WiFi network. You’ll know how good those networks are since they will already be rated by other users. Just tap on the “Get directions” option, and you’ll get turn-by-turn directions to the nearest WiFi network.
Getting directions to the nearest WiFi networks is definitely a handy feature, especially if you’re not from the area. Since Datally is from Google, it will automatically open Google Maps to give you the directions you need (at least that’s what it did during my testing).
ConclusionIf you’re on an unlimited plan, then you apparently have nothing to worry about as data limits are not part of your mobile plan. For everyone else, this is one of the various must-have apps on any Android device to help keep mobile data under control.
