Screen recording on mobile devices is a quick and easy process that simply requires you to run an app and tap record, this allows you to record anything and everything on your screen. This is also something that is possible to do using SCRCPY, which a lot of people aren’t away of. Simply fire up SCRCPY and start screen mirroring to your Windows PC while screen recording your phone at the exact same time. You can even choose the output file you want to use. Either MP4 or MKV.

So how exactly do you screen record using SCRCPY? Well, it’s an easy process but one that most people will find intimidating at first. However, once you have done it a couple of times, it’s the easiest thing in the world. Especially if you set up a batch file for SCRCPY to do everything automatically.

How do you screen record using SCRCPY? How to screen record and Mirror using SCRCPY.

In order to screen record using SCRCPY while screen mirroring you’ll need to do the following.

Once the Command window is open, you’ll need to point Command prompt to the folder you have SCRCPY in.

To do this type cd then a space into the command window, then enter the exact location of the SCRCPY folder into Command prompt and press Enter. For me, the command looks like the example below. However, for you, it will more than likely be C: something:

cd D:SCRCPY

Note: If you have your SCRCPY folder on a different drive, not C: you’ll need to change the drive location first. To do this simply type the drive letter followed by a colon ( : ) and press Enter. It should look like this D: If you get stuck there is a video in the SCRCPY Playlist that shows you this process.

Now that Command Prompt is pointing to the correct location, you can enter or copy and paste one of the following commands into the command window and press Enter.

To record in MP4 Format: scrcpy –record=file.mp4

To record in MKV Format: scrcpy -r file.mkv

Once you start the command SCRCPY will open on your device and function normally, however, it will also record everything in the background and save the file in the same folder that you are running SCRCPY from.

Can you run more than one SCRCPY command at once?

You sure can, if you have more than one command option that you would like to enter you can run multiple commands using the same process. However, it’s best to do this using a batch file. This will allow you to create a custom shortcut you can use each and every time you open SCRCPY.

Samsung users using Android 10 or newer versions can easily record the screen. But, according to Samsung, they have only made this feature available to selected models. So, you need to check their supported devices list and find out if your device supports a screen recording feature.

Some popular apps are AZ Screen recorder, ADV screen recorder, Mobizen screen recorder, etc. But, before you can start using the apps you are required to agree to the terms and conditions.

There are several instances when you need to change your screen recording settings. Most android manufacturers have the same steps to reach the screen recording settings but inside settings and features may differ. As a reference, we have shown the steps using a Samsung phone.

Invite Your Participants

As soon as you start a scheduled meeting on Zoom, the participants will be able to join on their devices using a Meeting ID and password. They will also receive a security warning about the call being recorded to which they must agree.

Once the session starts, Zoom lets you record the meeting in different layouts: as an “active speaker,” in “gallery view,” and via a “shared screen.” If hosting on a laptop or desktop PC, you can easily find a prominently displayed “Record on this Computer” button to locally store the meeting files.

For Android and iPhone users, Zoom offers various tiered plans for cloud storage offering 1 GB/pro user. Presently, it is not possible to record locally on your phone.

There are many activities you can record in a Zoom meeting. These include audio/video discussions over a whiteboard, live minutes of a shared screen, contents from a second camera, and files transferred using Google Drive, OneDrive, Box and Dropbox.

After the host ends the meeting on their PC, the Zoom session will be converted for viewing later.

As a host, you can always access the recorded files of past sessions on the Zoom dashboard.

Despite this, many MacBook owners avoid cleaning their screens for fear that they will cause damage to them. As long as you follow guidelines and use the recommended products, cleaning your screen will not cause any damage to the device.

Whether it is fingerprint markings or dust, giving your MacBook screen the occasional clean will really make a notable difference, and once you know how to do it properly, you’ll wonder why it took you so long to do!

This article will be showing you how to clean your MacBook screen without causing any damage to it!

1

How To Clean A MacBook Screen

The following step-by-step guide can be done on any MacBook screen, such as the MacBook Air and Pro. It can also be done on the iMac, Mac Pro, and Mac Mini.

However, it shouldn’t bed used on any MacBook that has a nano-texture glass display. There will be a separate section discussing how to clean that kind of screen at the end of this article.

Step

1

Switch Off Your MacBook

The first thing you need to do is make sure your MacBook is switched off and has been unplugged from the wall.

Step

2

Use A Microfiber Cloth

Then, with a microfiber cloth, you are to wipe the screen softly to remove any dust. You should not use anything else other than a microfiber cloth, as paper towels can actually scratch your screen.

Step

3

Dampen The Cloth With Some Water

If you are still seeing some smudges, then dampen the cloth with some water, and lightly continue to wipe the screen. You must only dampen the cloth, not submerge it in water, and water should never be applied directly to the screen.

Step

4

Use Isopropyl Alcohol For Remaining Smudges

If there are still markings and smudges on the screen, then you can use a 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution. Again, this should only be applied to the microfiber cloth and not the screen, and no other kind of cloth or paper towels should be used.

Step

5

Let Your Laptop Air Dry

Once you have wiped your screen fully, you should let your laptop air dry.

2

How To Clean The Rest Of Your MacBook

If you would like to clean the rest of your MacBook, the process is very similar.

Step

1

Switch Off Your MacBook

You must ensure that it is unplugged and switched off, and wipe all areas with a lint-free microfiber cloth. This will remove any dust that is lingering.

Step

2

You Can Also Dampen The Cloth

You can also dampen the cloth for more of a clean, but you must ensure you aren’t allowing any moisture into the openings.

Step

3

Use Isopropyl Alcohol Wipes For A Deep Clean

If you’d like to clean your device further, you can use 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes to do this, as well as Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.

3

How To Clean A Laptop With Nano-Texture Glass

Laptops with nano-texture glass offer less glare and phenomenal image quality. However, because of this, you’ll have fewer options when it comes to cleaning the screen.

Laptops with this screen can only be cleaned using the cloth that was supplied along with your iMac or Pro Display XDR.

For more of a clean, you can dampen the cloth with a 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution as mentioned in the previous method. As mentioned earlier, this should only be applied to the cloth, and not to the actual screen.

Final Thoughts

Cleaning your MacBook screen every so often, will ensure that all dust, dirt, and fingerprints are kept at bay, enabling you to experience the top quality that these screens are known for.
